Our dispensary is very busy and needs time in order to process your repeat prescription request. Please allow 48 hours, excluding weekends and Bank Holidays, for your request to be processed. Any problems please telephone the surgery.

The surgery has an on line appointment booking and repeat prescription request system. In order to access these services you will need to register in person at reception. Please provide photo identification to the receptionists and they will issue you with a password.

Please note that you may only register yourself and not on behalf of someone else. We hope that you find this service useful.

Repeat Prescriptions

If you are taking regular medication your doctor may set up a repeat prescription and there are a number of ways you can order them:

• In Person - Tick the items you require on your printed prescription form and place in the prescription box on the wall in the reception lobby.
• By Post    
• Online - you can order online by emailing us at wfisher.prescriptions@nhs.net  or by clicking on the button at the bottom of the home page to access the new on line system

Please allow a minimum of 2 working days for us to process your request and have it ready for collection.

From time to time your doctor will need to see you to review the medication and we ask that you attend a review when requested.

It is possible to speak with our dispenser on the telephone but in the interests of your safety we do not accept requests for medication over the telephone.

Prescriptions Charges and Exemptions

Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs).

The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount which successive Governments have thought it reasonable to charge for those who can afford to pay for their medicines.  Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) offer real savings for people who need extensive medication.
