Please note that from 12:00 on Wednesday 16th December the surgery will only be open for a flu vaccination clinic
The Dispensary will be closed - please ensure that you pick up any necessary medication in the morning or leave till the following day.
If you need a doctor in an emergency, please telephone as usual and you will automatically be directed to the emergency doctor
If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to make an appointment with the practice nurse to discuss your travel arrangements. This will include which countries and areas within countries that you are visiting to determine what vaccinations are required.

It is important to make this initial appointment as early as possible - at least 6 weeks before you travel - as a second appointment will be required with the practice nurse to actually receive the vaccinations. These vaccines have to be ordered as they are not a stock vaccine. Your second appointment needs to be at least 2 weeks before you travel to allow the vaccines to work.
Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge. This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS.

If you are a patient of this surgery and have been given a blood form by a doctor or other clinician, then you can make an appointment to have your blood taken here at the surgery.
These clinics are on a Wednesday or Thursday morning.
Alteratively you can book an appointment at Burnham Clinic by phoning 01621 727600. They offer appointments Tuesday and Friday mornings and Thursday afternoons.
St Peters hospital at Maldon offer a walk-in blood clinic 8.30am - 3.45 pm Monday to Friday.

The surgery is now able to sent out text reminders to patients mobile telephones to remind them about their appointment.

Please note, this service can only be used on an individual basis. As a rule, children cannot access this service. Childrens appointment reminders cannot be sent to a parents mobile telephone and if two adults wish to use the same telephone number, both must sign the consent form.
